Financial inclusion course
Is Universal Credit worrying you?
Do you need any support to manage your finances?
Do you want to find out about the best bank account deals available to you?
We've been working with Weston College, Alliance Homes and Citizens Advice in North Somerset to develop a tailored, personalised course that might help you. We're ready to sign you up for the course if you want any tips on:
- Personal budgeting and managing your money
- Savvy shopping skills
- Different types of bank accounts available on the high street
- Internet safety and making payments online
- Universal Credit and what it means to you...
Within the course will also be a section covering some online elements in:
- Internet Safety
- Personal Finances
It'll be a week-long course, taking place on weekdays between 9.30am until 2.30pm. There are no fixed dates just yet, as we'll work this out on how many people sign up. On completion, you'll receive a certificate in Personal Development.
On completion of the course through our Into Work service, we will also be able to offer additional one to one support to gain employment, using modules that can be tailored to your needs and give you the greatest chance of success.
Although the course is designed in partnership with Weston College, we can deliver it throughout our nine local authorities at locations in South Gloucestershire, Bristol, Bath, and North East Somerset, North Somerset, South Somerset, West Somerset, Mendip, Sedgemoor, or Taunton Deane.
